
Four year old Male castrated Shiba Inu with a history of acute onset of lameness with no history of trauma. Patient was non-weightbearing at exam.

Radiographs revealed a lytic and proliferative bone lesions at the head and neck of the left femur.

Ultrasound guided aspirates were taken through the cortex down to the compromised subcortical region using a 20-g catheter needle.
